What is the purpose of life in the simulation?
Regardless of whether or not you believe in simulation theory, every person who comes into this life has a niggling question: what is the meaning of existence? While we do not have the answers, escaping the chains of the simulation is not as difficult as you might expect.
What is meant by the chains of the simulation? In its simplest form, let’s just imagine that we are characters in a simulated world. Most people, through their senses, become deeply attached to that character and more specifically, identification with the ego.
The ego can (almost) never be satiated. When the stars finally do align, the satisfaction is always temporary. It’s a toxic relationship between the deeper self, the spirit, and the ego. The ego represents the sum of experiences of the characters we have been given. Finding real meaning can be done through falling back to the deeper self (or the observer), the root of consciousness, and the oneness. This is a topic often explored in spirituality and meditation.
This transcendence can happen fairly quickly depending on someone’s self-discipline and ability to adapt to subtle, yet profound, mental shifts.
All of life’s surface level offerings are never enough and it’s this constant struggle to please (and quiet) the ego that keeps the battle alive.
So what is the meaning of life? Maybe it’s to find inner peace and dispel the illusion of separation. Some would call this enlightenment, others spirituality or ego-death.
We will talk about this much more in the future, but be sure to check out this video. Peace!
