Waking Up: Recent musings on life

The meaning of life is surely to wake up to your true nature, but what does that really mean? In the context of simulation theory it is the escape hatch many are looking for and may not be as evasive as it seems.

It has without a doubt been an interesting summer for me. I always find it tough to concentrate in the summer months, there’s too much going on socially and when alcohol and nicotine are in the equation they can easily steer you away from center. The fun and turbulence is coming to an end now, but it has given me a lot of time to reflect on life and the nature of reality.

The last book I have gotten my teeth into is ‘The Shaman’s Path to Freedom‘ by Don Jose Ruiz, which gives an excellent, practical guide on Toltec wisdom. It is a like a pocket manual (easy to read) on how to live optimally.

I have also been giving thought to Gnosticism. For some reason it resonates deeply with me. The book I have started is by Montalk, called ‘Gnosis‘. I still have some ways to go but will get back to readers of this blog with my thoughts. I do ultimately believe that there are forces and parasites that hinder our growth and stop us from realizing our full potential. Gnosis essentially talks of the soul trap. It could be construed as a negative, but I think it is somewhat realistic, especially if life is a simulation/video game as many readers of this blog believe. It would be naive to think that there are not invisible forces involved leading either to greatness or, unfortunately, a wasted life.

While on the subject of Gnosis, I came across something pretty cool recently. I am hugely into sound frequencies (the secret of life, according to Tesla) and have create Sonora.com to offer a free product to people.

I came across an account on Youtube which I’ve found really works for me. It helps clear your mind and regain your center, at least in my case. I couldn’t recommend the artists Altona777 enough. It is just another tool in your spiritual armory. The less parasites you have attached to you, the easier it’ll be to break free.

Let’s get back to the core subject at hand. How do you ‘wake up’ in this chaotic, busy world. I have listened to hundreds of hours of Michael Singer and have found him to be pretty much the most useful guide I have ever found. If you’re serious about the path to liberation, reading his books (maybe start on the ‘Surrender Experiment‘) and listening to his talks would change your life.

My ideas are a fusion of all these greats (and others, you can read back on the blog if you have any interest).

Everyone talks about the power of being present, but so few understand it, even less have the ability to live it. Another way of putting it is to stay centered. It is a discipline so very few have. When Castaneda talked of the flyers (the Archons/the parasites the Gnostics talked about) he said that awareness confused them. That sounds a lot like an algorithmic force to me, a machine army somewhat like featured in the Matrix. Waking up means to understand your true self. Self = spirit = consciousness = eternal conscious energy. That is the witness to thoughts and emotions, not thoughts and emotions themselves.

What is a self-concept? Something made up by the ego. Can that change on a dime? Of course it can! That is why the self-concept isn’t real.

Raw consciousness, the higher self (the oneness that connects everything) is what we actually are. The witness is the player. You could even use the term God to describe what you are. Underneath the filter of ego lies the observer (‘you’). Like the sun, you have been given an individual ray of light, which is staring at… you. But you are still part of the sun. It is like the analogy of a drop of water merging into the ocean. That’s what your individual consciousness is like.

The body and mind are kind of like an avatar with an incredibly powerful (and extremely personal) computer. Consider it like a local hard drive. That computer is brilliant. When used for the abstract/intellectual mind, it can achieve incredible feats. The problem is the filter of the personal mind, which is where the attacks come from. That is where our energy is lost. Our default setting is actually, as Singer says, eternal conscious energy, but the interface has been hijacked.

The filter of the personal mind/ego is so strong that it exhausts most of our natural upward energy flow. It’s through duality (separating good from bad) and desire (our preference system) that so many blockages are created. These blockages can be worked on and liberated (they’re just energy) but you have to start by staying open and stop being bothered by all of your personal junk. Keeping an open heart and mind is how to do this. Loving unconditionally is one of the hardest things to do in the world, but that is where greatness lies.

There is so much more to say about this but I will stop there. Please listen to Singer, meditate, listen to sound frequencies, do whatever it takes to get you centered and on the spiritual journey. That is where happiness and true liberation await.
